WHY THE UK?

A strong study destination when the course, budget and pathway fit.

The right UK choice depends on more than a university name. TILBAJ helps you compare the academic route, location, total funding plan and your current application readiness.

Compare degree, Master’s, research and professional pathways across different UK institutions and locations.

Different university environments

Choose between large cities, campus settings and regional locations based on programme fit and personal priorities.

Multiple intake opportunities

Availability varies by course and university. We help you work from the live intake rather than an outdated general list.

Build a structured route from eligibility and application through offer conditions, CAS, visa readiness and arrival preparation.

STUDY LEVELS

Choose the UK pathway that matches your academic stage.

Plan against the rules that apply now—not old social-media advice.

These items were reviewed against GOV.UK on 24 August 2026. Immigration and financial requirements can change, so the official source must be checked again before submission.

DEPENDANTS & FAMILY PLANNING

Do not choose a UK course based on outdated dependant advice.

Whether a partner or child can accompany a Student visa holder depends on the exact study route and current Immigration Rules.

Important for taught Master’s applicants

For postgraduate courses starting on or after 1 January 2024, the qualifying route generally needs to be a PhD/doctorate or a research-based higher degree, unless the student meets the separate government-sponsored route requirements.

Confirm the course classificationDo not assume every MRes, Master’s or postgraduate course has the same dependant position.
Use the CAS and university confirmationThe sponsor identifies qualifying research-course status in the relevant Student-route process.
Plan additional maintenance fundsEligible dependants have separate financial-evidence requirements where applicable.
Re-check before applicationRules can change between initial counselling and actual visa submission.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FUNDING

Build the funding plan before you build the application list.

Scholarships, discounts, deposits and tuition arrangements vary by institution, course and intake. The homepage should never imply that every applicant receives a scholarship or low-deposit option.

University scholarships and discountsCheck live eligibility, deadlines and whether the award is automatic or requires a separate application.
Deposit planningConfirm the amount, deadline and refund terms from the university’s current offer/fee information.
Visa financial evidenceScholarship marketing and visa maintenance evidence are different questions; both need separate verification.
Total-cost readinessPlan tuition, maintenance, visa fee, health surcharge, travel and arrival costs rather than tuition alone.

UK STUDY FAQ

Questions students ask before applying.

These answers are intentionally cautious because requirements differ by university, course, intake and individual circumstances.

Which UK intake should I apply for?

September is a major intake, while January and other starts are available for selected courses and universities. The correct answer should come from the live course page for the exact programme you want.

Can TILBAJ guarantee a scholarship or tuition discount?

No. TILBAJ can identify current opportunities and support preparation, but awards and discounts are controlled by the university or funding provider and depend on their current terms.

Can I bring dependants on a UK Master’s course?

Do not assume that a taught Master’s qualifies. For courses starting on or after 1 January 2024, the key postgraduate exceptions generally involve qualifying research-based higher degrees/doctoral study, plus a separate government-sponsored route. Always check current GOV.UK rules and the exact course classification.

When do I receive a CAS?

A CAS is issued by the licensed student sponsor when its requirements have been satisfied. The exact process and timing vary by university, and a CAS is required for the Student visa application.

How much money must I show for a UK Student visa?

The amount depends on course fees shown on the CAS and applicable maintenance requirements. Current GOV.UK maintenance figures should be checked immediately before application because they can change.

Does completing a UK degree guarantee a Graduate visa?

No. The Graduate route has its own eligibility and timing requirements. Current GOV.UK rules should be checked at the time of application. Route duration also changes for non-doctoral applications from 1 January 2027.
